A builder hands the job back. You keep it. Statutory warranty, the design-practitioner regime and an owners corporation with its own consultant mean the documentation question stays live for years after practical completion, and the people who could answer it have moved on to the next project.
Most of what determines that outcome happens during the build, in decisions nobody wrote down: which revision a detail was built from, whether the design change was checked against the NCC, who signed off the substitution.
CIM builds that record as the job runs. Every revision compared, every finding cited to the source page, every check dated. When a claim arrives years later, the answer to "what did we know and when" is already written down.
