Integration
Outlook integration
The instruction that arrived by email, on the project record.
A good share of what changes a job arrives as an email. A sketch attached to a reply, a direction confirmed in a thread, an approval given in a sentence. It sits in one person's mailbox, and when the entitlement is argued eighteen months later it takes a day to find.
Connect Outlook and project correspondence comes into CIM alongside the documents. The attached sketch is filed against the sheet it changes, and the instruction sits with the revision it landed between.
You choose which mailboxes and which projects are connected. Correspondence outside them stays where it is.
Before CIM
- Directions and sketches live in individual mailboxes.
- Substantiating a change means searching someone else's inbox.
- The email that approved the work leaves with the person who sent it.
With CIM
- Project correspondence sits alongside the documents it changes.
- Attached sketches filed against the sheet they affect.
- You choose which mailboxes and projects are connected.
