Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June, 2026
Estimate Labs Pty Ltd (operating as “CIM Build,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the data controller for personal data processed through this UK edition of our website and Services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data we collect
- Identity and contact data — name, email, phone number, company, and address.
- Transaction data — details of products and services and payments (card data is handled by our payment processor).
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, and how you use our website, collected via cookies and analytics.
- Customer content — the project data, drawings, and specifications you submit to the Services.
Lawful bases for processing
We process personal data on the following bases: contract (to provide the Services you request), legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve our business, and for B2B marketing where appropriate), consent (for certain cookies and marketing, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).
Sharing your personal data
We share personal data with processors acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payment processing, email and marketing platforms), with professional advisers, in connection with a corporate transaction, and with authorities where required by law. We put appropriate contracts in place with our processors.
International transfers
We and our service providers may transfer and store personal data outside the UK, including in Australia and the United States. Where we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to jurisdictions covered by UK adequacy regulations.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email jacky@cim.build. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to address your concerns first.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Meta tools. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, which you can manage through your browser settings or our cookie controls.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
We may use AI and machine-learning technologies, including third-party AI services, to analyze documents and generate estimates. We treat AI-generated information about individuals as personal data, maintain human oversight of significant outputs, and require AI service providers to protect personal data under contract.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, and we maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it.
